about

Charlie Duke drove an electric vehicle on the Moon in 1972, piloting the Lunar Roving Vehicle during Apollo 16. For decades, that lunar rover remained the only EV he had ever driven, until Porsche offered him the opportunity to drive his first electric vehicle on Earth, the Porsche Taycan. Along the way, Duke will quietly mention that he may also have been the fastest man on the Moon. While unofficial, Apollo crews recorded speed runs descending crater slopes, pushing the rover beyond expectations. The film connects those moments to modern EV engineering, focusing on instant torque, system trust, and restraint under consequence. For Duke, electric propulsion did not begin as a trend. It began with exploration, speed, and a little earned bragging rights.
