about

In a bold showcase of electric performance, the Porsche Taycan Turbo S set a new Guinness World Record for the fastest speed ever achieved by a vehicle indoors. With pro driver Leh Keen at the wheel, the Taycan reached 165.1 km/h (102.65 mph) inside the vast exhibition hall of the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, shattering the previous record that had stood for seven years. Under strict Guinness World Records rules - starting and stopping from a standstill with no run-up or exit, the all-electric Taycan’s launch control, all-wheel drive and carbon-ceramic brakes delivered decisive acceleration and stopping power. TangentVector documented the planning, risk and raw speed of this unprecedented indoor performance milestone.
